TOOL GRINDING

TOOL GRINDING

We manufacture the right grinding wheel for every tool

Tool grinding is a sub-area of grinding. Tool grinding is a machining production process. With this process, as the name already suggests, precision tools are manufactured or resharpened.

For your tool grinding process, we have grinding wheels of various types with different bonds in our range. The bond and type of grinding wheel are defined according to the application and the material to be machined. While tools made of HSS (High speed steel) are sharpened with grinding wheels made of corundum or CBN, tools made of carbide are sharpened with diamond grinding wheels.

SYNTHETIC RESIN BOND

Resin bonds are the most versatile and economical bonds. They allow cool, fast grinding in dry or wet grinding.

CERAMIC BOND
Ceramic bond diamond and CBN grinding wheels usually have a high concentration of C100/C125, which in combination with the bond results in long tool life and high metal removal rates. Due to the high porosity, the ceramic bond is ideally suited for long-chipping materials. The ceramic bond can be easily dressed on the machine with a rotating dressing tool and is therefore suitable for the production of large series and rather thin-walled workpieces.

Tools that can be produced and resharpened are for example drills, milling cutters, taps, step tools, profile tools, saw blades and many more. Our field service will be happy to advise you!
