FLAT & ROUND-GRINDING

FLAT & ROUND GRINDING

superior grinding performance meets incredibly short delivery time

Surface and external cylindrical grinding are two different applications. While surface grinding is used to grind flat surfaces, external cylindrical grinding, as the name suggests, is used to grind rounded surfaces.

For your surface and external cylindrical grinding process, we have diamond and CBN grinding wheels with different bond types in our range. These are used for surface and cylindrical grinding of medium-high alloy steels with a hardness from 60-62 HRC.

The grinding wheels are available up to Ø800mm. For these tools we have an approval up to a cutting speed of vc=125 m/s.

Our grinding wheels are manufactured in segmented design. This manufacturing process enables us to deliver our standardized wheels as well as special designs quickly and flexibly - see for yourself the superior grinding performance of our tools.

CERAMIC BOND
Ceramic bond diamond and CBN grinding wheels typically have a high concentration of C100/C125, which in combination with the bond results in long tool life and high metal removal rates. Due to the high porosity, the ceramic bond is excellent for long-chipping materials. The ceramic bond can be easily dressed on the machine with a rotary dressing tool and is therefore suitable for the production of large series and rather thin-walled workpieces.

SYNTHETIC RESIN BOND

Resin bonds are the most versatile and economical bonds. They allow cool, fast grinding in dry or wet sanding. Resin bonds are suitable for fine polishing to deep grinding.

We supply our various bond types in all common grit sizes from:

B 54 / 64 / 76 / 91 / 107 / 126 / 151 and 181.
